There are many decisions to be made when planning how to mark and manage the end of a life. They range from the essential and necessary ( decisions about the body itself) to the discretionary (pretty much everything else). Costs must be taken into consideration, environmental impact questions are coming to the fore and there are a growing number of options beyond traditional burial and cremation scenarios.
